Head chef on the Almeria Coast

Best Hotels, a Spanish hotel chain with establishments in Spain and the Dominican Republic, is recruiting HEAD KITCHEN for its hotels on the Costa de Almeria.

FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
• Management, direction and control of all competent areas.
• Training of staff in the different areas, following the chain standards.
• Plan the work and shifts of the staff under your charge, taking care of their hygiene, safety and uniformity.
• Supervising and assembling creative and innovative buffets, in addition to menu products.
• Review and control the proper use of raw materials and kitchen equipment.
• Conducting inventories.
• Monitoring good handling practices and HACCP controls.
• Ensure the cleanliness, good order and hygienic and safety conditions of the assigned premises and facilities, as well as the household items and utensils.
• Allergen control and monitoring and traceability. Customer assistance.
• Implement action plans aimed at improving quality, customer satisfaction, productivity or costs, monitoring them and reporting to your superior.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum qualification: intermediate or advanced level of cooking.
• Experience: at least 3 years in a similar position in high-volume hotels.
• Professional category: department head.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:
• Specific training in gastronomy, related to cooking techniques, etc. • Possess sufficient culinary knowledge and experience to work in all kitchen areas.
• Experience in themed buffets and their decoration.
• Languages: Spanish.
